The first function on WhatsApp lets you silent incoming calls from unknown numbers, and the second effectively acts as a privacy check for users. Users of iOS and Android devices can now access the newly released features.

Silence unknown calls

Well this feature is well defined with its name. It allows its users to silent calls that are from unknown numbers. Given that WhatsApp is commonly used in India for both calling and messaging, this feature can be useful, especially if you dislike getting calls from unknown numbers.

You can enable by following these simple steps

Open WhatsApp and then open Settings. In the next step, go to Privacy Calls and the Calls. Finally select the option to Silence Unknown Callers.

Any calls from unknown numbers will be immediately silenced once you enable this option. However, you will still be able to see these calls in WhatsApp’s calls tab and in your notification centre. In this manner, you won’t be bothered and will still be informed of the caller’s identity.

When you arrive, click “Start checkup,” after which a selection of privacy options will be displayed for you to choose from.

You may control your personal information, chat privacy, who can contact you, and other privacy-related options here. In essence, WhatsApp has gathered several privacy options under one pertinent category. You can determine who can add you to groups, block contacts, and silence incoming calls, for instance, under the privacy setting that controls who can contact you.
