Father Plans 'Baarat' for Daughter after her divorce
Indian weddings are vibrant, musical, and joyful occasions. These multi-day ceremonies, regardless of how grandiose the couple selects, are packed with customs and traditions designed to make the wedding an unforgettable occasion. One such ceremony that involves live music and dancing is the baarat, which is a joyous procession for the groom and the main attraction of most north
Indian weddings. It conveys the joy and excitement of embarking on a new journey in life. On the other hand, separation and divorce are often accompanied by a great deal of sadness. A parent recently defied expectations by planning a “baraat” for his divorced daughter as she traveled home. The father said that he supported his daughter.
The father himself uploaded the identical video to Facebook. On the platform where the video was shared, Prem Gupta “When your daughter’s marriage is done with great pomp and show, and if the spouse and family turn out to be wrong or do wrong things, then you should bring your daughter back to your home with respect and honor because daughters are very precious.” The woman’s family members are seen joyfully joining her and popping crackers in the video. They are seen clapping hands, and it looks like one of the mothers is giving the daughter a hug. The entire family ambles about the streets in a baraat-like manner.
The video has received 228 likes and over 12,000 views since it was shared.
“Well done,” a user wrote.
“Awesome fatherly attitude; I loved it. Cheers to the legendary father! It’s utterly heartbreaking for the wretched in-laws. Many congratulations for the daughter’s fresh start,” said an additional person.
