The most significant resource for every firm is its workforce. Fostering a healthy work environment requires making employees feel valued and recognised for their efforts. Regrettably, recent actions by one firm have angered and frustrated users of social media. To prove a point and impart a lesson to the rest of the crew, they fired one of their best performers.
A Reddit member posted the news, which attracted a lot of attention and criticism. The post is centred on a Reddit user’s story of their business’s strange and dubious behaviours. The user claims that the corporation sacked one of its most accomplished employees just to show that they could fire anyone at will.

Sincerity be damned, the Redditor wrote in the post, “A lot of things have been going down at my current job, including upper management stealing commissions from workers, not respecting contract terms, giving us a hard time if we spend more than 5 minutes in the toilet and saying the door is open if we don’t like it, etc.”
“They threatened to terminate me recently since I had lost motivation as a result of their theft of my commissions. The statement went on to say, “Today they fired a coworker who was a top performer and was right behind me in sales figures.
The customer further stated that they received official word that the employee was let go for failing to live up to expectations. “However, our direct manager told us that they fired him as an example, and that we shouldn’t argue with management about things like commissions or contract violations because they have the right to fire anyone at any time if we try to contradict what they say,”
Users criticising the action left over 150 comments and nearly 800 upvotes on the post. While some expressed concern about the company’s broader practises and norms, others criticised the company’s actions as being “unfair.”
In order to steal the top performer’s sizable commission cheque, they sacked him. Then they attempted to terrify the rest of you by using it, said one Reddit user.
“To me, this sounds like a straightforward civil lawsuit. Shame there won’t be any legal action,” added one more.
