In a recent practice before their match against Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on October 8, Team India debuted their brand-new orange training uniform for the 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup. Fans were quick to draw attention to the similarities between the new jerseys and the t-shirts worn by Swiggy delivery personnel after the new uniforms captured everyone’s attention online. Additionally, the food delivery app claimed that “boys were ready to deliver (the world cup)” on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Internet user Mufaddal Vohra posted a picture of former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli wearing the new uniform on social media. The caption read, “Virat Kohli in India’s World Cup training jersey.” Swiggy commented in response to the same, “Looks like boys in the orange jersey are ready to deliver (the world cup).”
The online food delivery service’s humorous response received a lot of feedback on social media.

They actually had the appearance of delivery boys, a third person remarked, adding, “Wakayi me delivery boy jaisi feeling aa rahi.”

Since they have largely been seen wearing the team’s blue kits, many users also had conflicting feelings about the new uniform.
