Police assist man in US to propose his girlfriend goes viral on the internet

Proposals for marriage are always unique. Some people will stop at nothing to surprise their significant other and create a wonderful day. Similar to this, a US man asked his fiancée to marry him with the assistance of two police officers. The same officers appear to arrest the man in a surprise, and the ensuing romantic moment is captured in a video that has gone viral on the internet.

The Eau Claire Police Department released the two-minute video on November 22. “You never know what’s going to happen during a traffic stop,” the caption read.
A policeman stops a motorist at the start of the video. Then he motions for him to get out of the car. A second officer then requests that the man’s girlfriend leave. The first cop then poses as an arresting officer while the second talks to the girlfriend. Without recognising that she is going to be in for a surprise, the woman turns to ask the second police officer what is going on. Then, the male is seen getting down on one knee and making a proposal. The woman acknowledges what’s going on, grins, and says, “Yes”. The couple gives the police officers their due at the conclusion, thanking them for helping them commemorate the momentous occasion.

Troy Goldschmidt, the man in the video, said, “Thank you so much, ECPD! I’m glad you had the video because I barely remember what I said. Neither Moriah and I have been able to stop smiling!”

“This is super awesome! Congrats to the couple and yay ECPD for having a fun stop!!!” remarked a person.
“That was so incredible. Nice to see the ECPD having exciting stops too. Nice work,” stated a user.

A person also commented, “WOW that’s a great proposal.”
