Passengers On IndiGo React As The Pilot Announces Chandrayaan-3’s Mid-Flight Landing

Indians experienced unrestrained joy and pride on August 23, as their nation wrote history by making a successful landing at the south pole of the moon. India has now joined the United States, China, and the former Soviet Union as the fourth nation to successfully make a soft landing on the lunar surface thanks to the moon mission.

The thrilling landing of Chandrayaan 3 is announced to the passengers by the Indigo pilot

Passengers on an IndiGo flight were informed of the thrilling news by their pilot, while millions of Indians watched the live telecast of the landing on their TV and phone screens. The moment a pilot reported Chandrayaan-3’s successful moon landing mid-flight and the passengers exploded in applause is captured in a video going viral on X.

What the caption says?

The caption for the video said, “A lot has already been said about #chnadrayaan3, but this share is about the immense pride that everyone at @IndiGo6E felt, whether on the ground or in the air. Our captain’s announcement on a flight on this thrilling feat achieved by our #Bharat at that moment.”

The first scene in the video shows the onboard passengers. The pilot’s voice soon appears, announcing that he has a special message to make.
There will be a very special announcement. It brings Captain Rajiv and I great pleasure to inform you that Chandrayaan-3, an ISRO mission, has successfully landed on the moon’s south pole. And has elevated India to the elite group of spacefaring nations with the landing of the Vikram Lander. We applaud ISRO for this outstanding accomplishment as the Pragyan rover is prepared to begin its expedition. The pilot of the IndiGo was heard exclaiming “Jai Hind” in the video.

Passengers clap

The entire group of passengers—including the flight attendant—started applauding and clapping enthusiastically.

Internet reacts

“The Indian claps for the nation while holding a bandage in his hand. Respect to the scientific community, everyday people who want to see India succeed, and the government for this accomplishment,” one user wrote.
