According to a report in the Independent, a customer on an American Airlines flight got into a violent disagreement with a member of the cabin staff about how many bags could fit in the overhead storage bins and was then asked to leave the aircraft. The same video was posted on Reddit, and since then, it has gained popularity on social media.
The man, who was shown on the video shouting “there’s no space” repeatedly after another passenger allegedly left their bags above him before occupying their seat, was wearing a yellow t-shirt and had his hair in a top knot. “This guy put his luggage up here, and now we don’t have any space,” the passenger is heard saying in the video. He is unable to move. As other passengers boarded the aircraft, he kept saying the same thing.
The man said, “He’s got no space,” referring to a traveler across the aisle who appeared to have just boarded. Look.” A male flight attendant approaches the upset customer to discuss the situation.
Then he commands the man to “stop”. “Sir, I have one more question for you. As he pointed his finger in the passenger’s face, the flight attendant stated, “You need to stop with this entire luggage thing.
This infuriated the passenger even more. Don’t point at me; don’t point your finger at me, he said in an insulting manner. You once again point your finger at me. I’m going to make a police call. I’m not pointing fingers, the steward retorted. With this luggage dilemma, you must halt. Are you going to report me to the police? OK.” He then turns and leaves the man.
