Karwa Chauth 2023
November 1st, this year, is the auspicious festival of Karwa Chauth, also called Karak Chaturthi. Married women give their husbands a full day of fasting, known as a Nirjala vrat (fasting without food or drink), and offer prayers for their long lives, safety, and well-being on this day. From daybreak to moonrise, the women observe fast. Women celebrate the auspicious day by dressing traditionally, getting together, receiving presents, and getting their hands painted with henna.
The Karwa Chauth puja muhurat is from 5:36 to 6:54 p.m., according to Drik Panchang. The moonrise occurs at 8:15 p.m., while the sunset is from 6:33 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.
This is Karwa Chauth’s tale.
There are two well-known tales connected to the Karwa Chauth celebration; however, Veeravati’s story is the one that is most frequently told during the Puja.
A long time ago, Vedsharma and his wife, Leelavati, had a beautiful family with seven sons and the most spoiled daughter, Veeravati. Veeravati had to endure much suffering as she observed her first Karwa Chauth following her marriage.
