Italian woman calls her sons "parasites"

In Italy, a 75-year-old woman desired her two adult children—one who was 42 years old and the other 40—to move out and live on their own.

She repeatedly begged them to live independently, but they consistently refused. She thus brought them to court and obtained an order compelling them to vacate her home.

The 75-year-old mother, who lives in Pavia, northern Italy, made several attempts to convince her adult sons to find their own places to live, especially since they both have jobs, according to the Italian news agency ANSA. Her boys, on the other hand, refused to leave. She sued them after they refused, and Judge Simona Caterbi found in her favour. The two kids were given an order by the judge to vacate their mother’s home by December 18.

The mother was reportedly irate that her two sons refused to help out around the house and didn’t contribute to the cost of living, according to the Italian news portal. She decided to evict them through the legal system because she could not persuade them to begin a life of their own.

According to Tuesday’s court decision, which CNN saw, Judge Simona Caterbi sided with the retired mother, who is not related to the men’s father and whose pension was used only for food and housekeeping. She decided that the two “bamboccioni,” or big babies, had until December 18 to leave the property.
