Internet reacts as golden retrievers make their way to the Durga Puja pandal in Bengaluru

This video, which shows Golden Retriever dogs at a Bengaluru puja pandal requesting blessings from Maa Durga, elicited conflicting comments from Instagram users.

Two Golden Retriever puppies named Oscar and Karma went to a Bengaluru Durga Puja pandal to ask Maa Durga for blessings. On social media, a video of this scene has been receiving a lot of attention. Some viewers expressed their enthusiasm for the video and stressed that everyone should be able to seek divine favours, while others voiced concerns regarding dog attacks and how these instances have caused fear in people.

The caption for the Instagram video that was posted asks, “Do you think dogs should be allowed or not?” “Many pandals said no to dogs, and then this one,” is the text overlay that appears at the beginning of the film. The Golden Retriever dogs at the puja pandal are seen in the video wearing blue clothes. A priest is seen putting a tika on their foreheads and then presenting them with prasad as the video goes on. “I hope other pandals realize that Maa Durga herself is with her sher (lion),” is written as the video comes to a close.

On Instagram, the video was posted two days ago. Since then, it has received over 5.4 million views, and that number is rising swiftly. It has also gotten millions of likes and a range of responses from online users.

Although not everyone loves having pets around, dogs also deserve love. Therefore, when in a public setting, keep the convenience of others in mind. “Do anything inside your home, Ghar me kuch bhi karo,” said one person.

“Not just dogs; every animal deserves love, as Maa has come to bless us all,” a second person said. Her nature is hers.

What about a fear of tiny children and people? People desire animals around them, but it can be challenging because of their fear of biting,” said a third.

“Who are we to forbid people from visiting temples? We belong to God. Dogs should also be permitted. They don’t require approval from anyone,” penned a fourth.
