Stand-up comedian Appurv Gupta recently took to social media to share his insights on failure and resilience, revealing the valuable lessons he learned after failing the JEE twice. Gupta disclosed that despite not gaining admission into prestigious institutions like IITs and IIMs, he pursued his education in a private college in NCR without a clear direction for his future. However, he acknowledged that confronting these challenges ultimately molded him into a more robust and resilient individual.
”But through all the challenges, I learned some important lessons. It taught me: 1. To keep trying even when things didn’t go my way. 2. Ways to move forward when my original plans didn’t work out. 3. how to learn from my mistakes and grow stronger. 4. that putting in effort and staying committed pays off. 5. the importance of believing in myself and never giving up,” he wrote on X.
I failed in JEE twice.

The JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is a nationwide engineering entrance exam administered for admission to numerous engineering colleges across India. Aspiring candidates must initially clear the JEE Mains to be eligible for the advanced stage of the examination, known as JEE Advanced. Conducted twice annually, the exam takes place through online mode. The first session typically occurs in January, followed by the second session in April.
