Google One Launches Dark Web Report Feature, How Can Indian Users Benefit From It?

The Dark Web Report tool is now available to Google One members in India, according to the American internet giant Google. Users will be able to keep an eye on their personal information on the dark web, which is notorious for being used by hackers and other criminals to conduct illegal operations including trading sensitive personal data.

Identity theft

According to Google, information including a person’s name, birthdate, phone number, email, and other specifics may be used for criminal activities like financial fraud and identity theft.

Users will receive alerts from the Google Dark Web Report feature if their personal information is found on the dark web, giving them the chance to take appropriate action and increase their vigilance to protect themselves from

Monitoring profile

Users create a monitoring profile when they enable the dark web report option, where they enter and select the data they wish to keep track of. The tool notifies the person whose information has been hacked and offers instructions on how to protect that information if any pertinent data turns up on the dark web. Regular Google users will not receive continual monitoring or new search notifications, but they can make a single dark web search for a specific email address.

Real-time dark web monitoring

Additionally, they have the option to activate real-time dark web monitoring for receiving ongoing updates on new findings, along with recommended actions and assistance.

In addition, the Dark Web Report will point out any relevant data that might be uncovered during hacking attempts and data breaches. According to Google, these results will be matched to the private information kept in users’ monitoring profiles. Users have the option to delete or disable tracking at any time, and Google’s privacy policies are followed in the administration of data in a user’s monitoring profile.
