The procedure is fraught with difficulties, ranging from brokers making exaggerated claims to landlords requiring background checks and corporate HR interviews. For tenants, finding a decent rental property in these busy cities has always been a difficult task. On the other hand, a Mumbai resident recently amused a lot of people on social media by posting a snapshot of a hilarious chat exchange she had with her real estate broker, who was helping her find a home. Since then, this humorous exchange has gone viral and made many chuckle online.
The screenshot shows social media user Subi expressing her concern about the property’s proximity to a railroad track. She brings up a legitimate worry regarding possible noise disruptions brought on by this close proximity. Her real estate broker responded in relatively broken English, which brought a humorous touch that made many platform users laugh.
Subi responded, “The location is near railway tracks; I hope there is no train noise problem.” Though comforting, the broker’s response is notable for its startling simplicity: “Yeh mam, do not tension (take tension), ok,” then “I’m here.”
