post about cab
Online discussion was prompted by a woman’s talk with her cab driver, an engineer who asserted that his earnings as a driver exceeded those from his corporate employment.
Shweta Kukreja, a personal branding consultant, used the microblogging service X (formerly known as Twitter) to publish her interaction with a cab driver. The cab driver asserted that he made more money operating cabs than he did working for the American multinational Qualcomm, which develops chips, software, and related services for wireless technology.
“Yesterday I was in a taxi, and the driver was an engineer. He claimed that his cab driving profession pays him more than his corporate position at Qualcomm,” Kukreja wrote in a post.
“Try asking a chai/suttewaala beside the roadside. He may be making more money than the cab driver, a user speculated. “To me, that seems a little improbable. Another person said, “I mean, if it’s real, it’s sad. An further poster wrote, “To the folks who think it is impossible, I met a cab driver who left his Tech job since it wasn’t paying much.
“It is not about earning money always. To earn extra few bucks he has to go through all the traffic and pollution everyday over sitting in an office or at home and attending meetings,” another person said. “That’s fair. Driving a cab is not an easy job. If they drive safely and remain punctual, they get better ratings, recognition, and earning. Their ability of taking better on-the-spot decisions to avoid an accident is also remarkable comparing to any corporate employees,” another netizen wrote.
