– Saturday, June 15:Most banks will be open as it’s the third Saturday of the month. However, banks in Aizawl and Bhubaneswar may have closures due to local holidays.
– Sunday, June 16: Regular weekly closure for all banks.
– Monday, June 17: Eid ul-Adha – All banks will be closed nationwide.
– Tuesday, June 18: Additional Eid ul-Adha holiday for banks in Jammu and Srinagar only.

This festival occurs in Zul Hijjah, the 12th month of the Islamic lunar calendar, which is considered one of the holiest months for Muslims. On this occasion, Muslims gather together and celebrate with grandeur and enthusiasm.

Following the sighting of the Dhul Hijjah moon in many parts of the world, Eid ul-Adha will be celebrated accordingly. In India, Eid ul-Adha will be observed on June 17, 2024, while in the UAE and other Arab countries, Bakrid will be celebrated on June 16, 2024.
