According to South China Morning Post (SCMP), the incident took place in Shandong province when the unidentified man visited the night market. He told the vendor that 14 yuan ($2 or ₹ 164) for a bowl of instant noodles was too expensive. The vendor tried to explain, but the man asked for ingredients. The noodle seller told him he has used an egg and two vegetable leaves.

“How is it possible to sell at 14 yuan each? Too expensive, isn’t it?” SCMP quoted the man as saying.

The seller waved him off and declined to respond. However, the man persisted in seeking an explanation for the “high” fee.
Then the vendor’s son stood up and yelled at the client. He advised the man, “If you can’t afford it, get out of there.”

The customer was so enraged by this that he demanded to know the cost of each package of noodles and declared he would buy them all.

Then, according to the Chinese site, he paid 850 yuan ($120 or $9,920), shattered the packages on the ground, and made another secret payment.
