12-Foot Long Alligator Enters Florida Mall; Video Goes Viral

A 12-foot, 597-kilogram alligator was discovered wandering around a Florida shopping mall. An alligator being pulled from the Coconut Point Mall in Estero was captured on camera, and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office posted the footage on Facebook. The department stated in the caption that MyFWC Florida Fish and Wildlife responded to the situation and saved the large reptile after the gator was seen ambling behind the Five Below Store.

“Just moments ago, Sergeant Toslluku, Deputy Cevertus, and Deputy Roedding were called to a 12 foot, 600 pound gator at Coconut Point Mall! Our friends with MyFWC Florida Fish and Wildlife responded to the scene, and in a joint effort, we got this massive guy to safety!” the caption of the post read.

“There truly is never a dull moment while on patrol here in Lee County, eh? If you’re chompin’ at the bit to get into law enforcement, we promise excitement and a great workout here at #TeamLCSO,” it added.

In the video, a number of people are seen carrying the alligator onto a truck. The video was released by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office a few days ago, and since then, it has received a number of likes and comments.

Another alligator that went viral

Meanwhile, an additional alligator video went viral online earlier this month. In the video, an alligator that had gotten into a residential neighborhood was being trapped in a waste bin by a man from Florida. With an open garbage can in hand, the man in the video was seen approaching an alligator. The alligator slowly withdrew as he approached, and he could be heard on the recording stating, “Tell me when the head goes inside.”

Witnessing the activity from a nearby spot, the man lifted the container and shut the top, successfully trapping the snake within. Witnesses cheered. Ultimately, the man wheeled the trash can to a lake close by and let the alligator go into the water. The gator made a quick retreat
