The Election Commission will likely announce the dates for the upcoming polls later in the day.
Addressing the audience at the event, Kejriwal stated, “The polls of Delhi are like a festival for its people. We celebrate it. Not only the people of Delhi but the entire nation eagerly awaits the campaign song of the AAP. People would call me and ask, ‘When is the campaign song going to launch’.”
“We dedicate this song to the people of Delhi as well as the country and appeal to the people to spread it through parties, birthdays and other events,” he added.
Without naming the BJP, Kejriwal took a dig at the opposition, asserting, “That one political party of our country which is engaged in abusive languages. What is the name of the political party?”
“I know they will like the song. Their leaders can lock their rooms and play the song,” he further joked.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) kicked off its 2025 election campaign with the release of a song titled ‘Phir Layenge Kejriwal’ (Will Bring Back Kejriwal).
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, along with Atishi, Manish Sisodia, and other party leaders, attended the event.
The AAP won a landslide victory in the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, securing 62 out of 70 seats, while the BJP won only eight.
