The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) warned of continued rain across Mumbai on Saturday, forecasting heavy to very heavy rain and isolated extreme downpours.
The BMC’s 8 AM bulletin warned that heavy rain may bring 50–60 kmph winds and urged residents to stay cautious outdoors.
The next high tide is expected at 2:50 PM on Saturday, rising to 4.26 metres, while another high tide is expected at 2:52 AM on Sunday, reaching 3.60 metres.
Low tides are expected at 8:22 AM at 1.28 metres and at 8:56 PM at 1.66 metres, according to BMC
The BMC said Mumbai received heavy rain in the past 24 hours, with 99 mm in the city, 98 mm in the eastern suburbs, and 94 mm in the western suburbs.
The weather department has forecast heavy rain across Mumbai, MMR, Konkan, Raigad, Thane, Palghar, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg until July 6.
The ghat areas of Satara, Pune, and Nashik are also likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall during this period.
Authorities warned of waterlogging and transport disruptions, advising residents to avoid unnecessary travel and follow advisories.

INSAT-3DR and other global satellites showed a massive cloud system moving from the Arabian Sea towards Maharashtra on Friday morning.
