Delhi Weather Today: Rain Brings Relief As IMD Forecasts More Showers

Moderate rainfall lashed Delhi-NCR on Wednesday morning, bringing much-needed relief from the hot and humid weather that had gripped the region over the past several days.

The showers lowered humidity levels and made conditions significantly more comfortable for residents.

The IMD has forecast more rain, thunderstorms and strong surface winds across Delhi-NCR over the next three days. It expects temperatures to range between 25°C and 32°C.

The weather department also said the southwest monsoon is reviving and will gradually spread from northeastern India to eastern, central and northern regions.

Meteorologists expect widespread rainfall, with heavy showers at isolated places, bringing relief to the Gangetic plains and central India from prolonged heat and humidity.

The IMD said the revival of the monsoon is likely to ease temperatures, reduce humidity and improve overall weather conditions across large parts of the country.

Authorities have advised residents to remain cautious during periods of heavy rain and strong winds while commuting.

The latest forecast comes as several parts of north India continue to await sustained monsoon activity after an uneven rainfall pattern earlier in the season.

Weather experts expect the renewed monsoon phase to improve rainfall distribution, benefiting agriculture and replenishing water resources in many regions.

With more showers forecast over the coming days, Delhi-NCR is likely to experience cooler temperatures and continued respite from the prevailing heat, while other northern and central states are also expected to witness a gradual improvement in weather conditions as the monsoon strengthens.
