The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated that Delhi-NCR will continue to experience fluctuating weather conditions over the next few days, with rain, thunderstorms, and strong surface winds likely to occur across various areas.

The forecast suggests that partly cloudy skies and light to moderate precipitation may affect the region between June 18 and June 21, bringing a welcome break from the prevailing heat.

Weather officials have stated that no alerts or warnings are currently in place despite the expected thunderstorm activity.

Experts attributed the favourable conditions to the combined influence of western disturbances and local weather systems. They said these factors are helping prevent any significant rise in temperatures.

As a result, maximum temperatures are expected to stay below the 40°C mark throughout the forecast period.

Forecasters expect Delhi-NCR to record a maximum temperature of around 38°C and a minimum of 26°C on June 18.

On June 19, temperatures are likely to range from 28°C to 39°C.

The IMD estimates that June 20 will see temperatures fluctuate between 29°C and 37°C, while June 21 could register a high of 38°C and a low of 30°C.

Meteorologists anticipate relatively steady weather conditions on June 22 and 23, with cloud cover expected to remain over much of the region.

Temperature readings on June 22 are likely to hover around 38°C during the day and 31°C at night.

On June 23, Delhi-NCR may record a maximum temperature of 39°C and a minimum temperature of around 31°C.

Weather experts say periodic showers and gusty winds will help prevent heatwave conditions from developing across the region.

While the rain will bring relief from the heat, residents may continue to experience humid conditions in some areas.

Cloud cover, scattered rainfall and brisk winds will likely keep temperatures within the normal range. These conditions are likely to make the weather more comfortable across Delhi-NCR over the coming week.
