POCO is preparing to expand its budget-friendly M-series with the imminent launch of the POCO M8 5G in India.
Early teasers and official updates have begun to reveal what consumers can expect from the device, and the company may also introduce a Pro variant as part of the same series.
In a recent post on X, POCO unveiled the first design teaser of the M8 5G, showcasing its rear panel and camera layout.

The smartphone features a black, dual-tone back with vertical stripe patterns along the sides, mirroring the rear design of the upcoming Redmi Note 15 5G, hinting at shared design elements within the Xiaomi ecosystem.
The rear camera sits at the centre of a square-shaped island with rounded corners, slightly raised from the back. POCO has confirmed a 50MP AI-supported main camera, accompanied by two additional lenses and an LED flash.
The teaser also reveals the placement of the physical buttons, with power and volume keys located on the right frame, and curved edges designed to enhance grip and comfort.
Flipkart Availability Confirmed
POCO confirmed that the M8 5G will be available for purchase in India through Flipkart, with a dedicated microsite already live.
The Flipkart page showcases the striped rear design but does not disclose complete specifications yet.
Reports indicate that the phone may launch in multiple colour variants, including black, blue, and a dual-tone silver and black option.
The standard model has received certifications from BIS, NBTC, IMDA, and TDRA, signalling a potential international rollout beyond India.
POCO is expected to release further details in the coming days, including hardware specifications, pricing, and the official launch date for the Indian market.
Fans of the M-series can anticipate a feature-packed, budget-friendly device that aligns with the brand’s focus on performance and design.
