Ahead of its official China launch, OnePlus has revealed several key details about its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 15.
The company has confirmed the device’s design, colour variants, processor, and display specifications. These features point to one of the most advanced smartphones in the brand’s history.
BOE manufactures the OnePlus 15’s display with a 165Hz refresh rate, marking a major improvement over the 120Hz panel seen in the OnePlus 13.
The screen will reportedly feature ultra-thin 1.15mm bezels on all sides, offering a symmetrical and immersive viewing experience.
OnePlus claims the new display will be both more power-efficient and longer-lasting, enhancing everyday usability for heavy users and gamers alike.
As expected, Qualcomm equips the device with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. This ensures top-tier performance and improved AI capabilities.
The company’s India CEO recently confirmed the inclusion of this latest chipset. This reinforces OnePlus’s tradition of integrating cutting-edge hardware across its flagship series.
No More Hasselblad Partnership
One of the biggest surprises is the removal of Hasselblad branding from the OnePlus 15’s triple-camera setup. Instead, the brand is introducing its in-house Detail Max Engine, a new image processing system designed to elevate computational photography.
The real-world performance will reveal how much the device improves in colour accuracy and detail once the company officially launches it.
Visually, the OnePlus 15 adopts a more angular and modern design, resembling the OnePlus 13S. It features flat edges, a boxy rear panel, and a new squircle-shaped camera module that replaces the previous circular design.
The introduction of a Sandstone colour variant, highlighted in teaser images, signals a shift towards a more premium and minimalist aesthetic.
With these upgrades, the OnePlus 15 appears poised to challenge the dominance of flagship rivals. It combines performance, design innovation, and display technology in a single package.
