Government-backed platform DigiHaat has introduced metro ticket booking services in major cities including Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru, expanding its range of digital services.
With this addition, the app now allows users to access transport services alongside its existing offerings such as food delivery, online shopping, and ride-hailing.
The move positions DigiHaat among a limited number of platforms providing metro ticketing across multiple cities within a single interface.
The company said the feature is to simplify daily travel by enabling users to manage commuting needs through one application.
Rahul Vij, Chief Operating Officer of DigiHaat, said, “Our focus has been clear from the start: to build a platform that is fair, interoperable, and truly useful in everyday life.”
“Adding metro ticketing across key cities brings us closer to enabling India to use one app for all major needs, while staying true to our principles of transparency and accessibility,” he asserted.
DigiHaat also reported crossing 2 million downloads and building a user base of more than 30,000 across its channels, indicating early adoption of its model.
The expansion aligns with the broader goals of the Open Network for Digital Commerce, which aims to create an open and accessible digital marketplace by reducing reliance on intermediaries.
Launched around a year ago under the ONDC framework, DigiHaat was introduced to bring small businesses, artisans, and farmers onto digital platforms. It operates as a subsidiary within the ONDC ecosystem under Nirmit Bharat.
The platform currently integrates services through partners such as Bharat Taxi and Namma Yatri, as part of its effort to build a unified digital ecosystem.
