Musk’s X Faces Worldwide Outage; Indian Users Unable To Access Posts

X Corp, owned by Elon Musk, encountered a widespread global outage on Monday evening, disrupting services across India, the United States and the United Kingdom.

Users reported difficulties accessing their accounts, while posts on the platform failed to load properly.

Data from the outage monitoring platform Down Detector indicated a sharp escalation in complaints, with reports surpassing 25,000 within a short span.

The surge reflected the scale of disruption experienced by users worldwide.

According to the portal’s statistics, 53 per cent of users attempting to access the mobile application were unable to log in.

Meanwhile, 16 per cent of website users reported technical difficulties.

Many subscribers in India confirmed that the platform remained inaccessible for extended periods.

The company did not immediately clarify the cause of the disruption and did not respond to media queries.

The incident marked the latest in a series of interruptions affecting major internet-based services.

In November last year, thousands of X users across India and globally experienced a similar service breakdown.

That disruption coincided with issues affecting multiple websites reliant on infrastructure provided by Cloudflare.

Cloudflare subsequently acknowledged the issue and initiated an investigation, confirming that multiple clients had been affected before services were restored.

Notably, Down Detector itself struggled to function during that episode due to its reliance on the same infrastructure.

Earlier in May this year, X endured another worldwide outage, including in India.

Users then faced difficulties loading new posts and signing into their accounts.

Down Detector recorded thousands of complaints during that incident as well.

At that time, 41 per cent of users cited login failures, an equal proportion reported application malfunctions, and 18 per cent flagged issues with the website interface.

The company did not disclose the underlying cause of that disruption, which represented the second outage within a 24-hour window.

On the latest occasion, more than 5,000 users globally registered complaints.

The repeated service interruptions have raised concerns regarding platform stability and infrastructure resilience.
