Maruti Suzuki India Limited has commenced exports of its premium SUV, VICTORIS, marking a significant step in its global expansion strategy.
The company announced that it plans to ship the Made-in-India SUV to more than 100 countries and regions worldwide.
The automaker confirmed that over 450 units of VICTORIS have already departed from Mundra and Pipavav ports for international destinations.
The initial shipment signals strong momentum for Maruti Suzuki’s export ambitions.
Managing Director and CEO Hisashi Takeuchi said Maruti Suzuki continues to follow the vision of ‘Make in India, Make for the World’. He noted that in calendar year 2025, the company exported more than 3.9 lakh vehicles.
This achievement made Maruti Suzuki India the country’s largest passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth consecutive year.
Takeuchi also highlighted that 2025 marked Maruti Suzuki’s return to Europe.
The company re-entered the market with exports of its first battery electric vehicle, the e-VITARA, strengthening its presence in advanced automotive regions.
The VICTORIS SUV blends advanced technology, premium comfort, and futuristic design.
It has demonstrated strong global safety standards by securing five-star ratings in both Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP assessments.
Maruti Suzuki also showcased the SUV to an international audience at the Japan Mobility Show 2025.
Takeuchi pointed out that between CY2020 and CY2025, India’s passenger vehicle exports grew 1.43 times.
During the same period, Maruti Suzuki’s exports surged 4.67 times, significantly outpacing the industry. He added that the inclusion of VICTORIS will further accelerate export growth and expects the SUV to gain strong acceptance in overseas markets.
In 2025, Maruti Suzuki India produced over 22.55 lakh vehicles, its highest-ever annual output.
This marked the second consecutive year of production exceeding 20 lakh units. The volume included domestic sales, exports, and OEM supplies.
Fronx, Baleno, Swift, Dzire, and Ertiga emerged as the top five models by production volume.
Founded in 1983, Maruti Suzuki began operations at its Gurugram facility. Supported by a strong supplier and dealer network, the company steadily expanded its manufacturing footprint across India.
