On Wednesday, realme said its newly launched realme 16 5G has recorded robust sales, registering a 150 per cent increase compared to its earlier generation device.
The company said the early response reflects growing demand among younger consumers, particularly those looking for a mix of performance, design and camera capabilities.
The smartphone’s key highlight is its focus on portrait photography, supported by a dual 50MP camera setup. It includes a Sony IMX852 rear sensor and a 50MP front camera, aimed at delivering detailed images with balanced lighting and natural tones.
The device also introduces several features designed to enhance user experience, such as gesture-based controls, a voice-enabled countdown for photos and a rear selfie mirror paired with an Aura Ring Flash.
Tools such as the LumaColor engine, Vibe Master Mode and AI-based editing features support imaging on the software side, allowing users to refine photos and videos directly on the device.
In terms of hardware, the phone comes with a 7000mAh battery supported by 60W fast charging, along with durability rated at IP69 standards. The realme 16 5G is being offered in Air White and Air Black colour options and is available through online platforms such as Flipkart, the company’s official website, and retail outlets.
