The tech giant unveiled a range of updates across its product lineup, introducing innovations that cater to developers, businesses, and everyday users alike.

Gemini 2.5 Models Gain Smarter & More Efficient Capabilities
Google upgraded its flagship AI model, Gemini, with two new variants.
The Gemini 2.5 Pro introduces a ‘Deep Think’ mode that tackles complex math and coding challenges by evaluating multiple possibilities before delivering answers.
Alongside it, the Gemini 2.5 Flash version offers faster, more affordable performance.
Optimised to handle long texts, images, code, and logic-heavy tasks, Flash consumes 20–30% fewer tokens than Pro while maintaining nearly the same level of capability, making it a cost-effective choice for developers.
Google’s Beam Brings Project Starline To Life
Google officially launched Google Beam, the commercial version of its previously experimental Project Starline 3D video chat booth.
Utilising six cameras and AI, Beam creates a lifelike 3D video experience on a specialised display with smooth tracking at 60 frames per second.
HP plans to release Beam devices for businesses later this year, with companies like Deloitte, Duolingo, and Salesforce already signed on. Although it won’t replace Zoom immediately, Beam aims to make virtual meetings more immersive and less exhausting.
In an unexpected move, Google introduced AI Ultra, a premium subscription priced at $250 per month.
Subscribers gain early access to Google’s latest AI tools, unlimited use of advanced features like Deep Research, and a massive 30TB of cloud storage spanning Google Photos, Drive, and Gmail.
The plan also bundles YouTube Premium and exclusive access to experimental features such as Project Mariner, targeting power users who want cutting-edge AI capabilities.
Google’s Real-Time AI Translation
Google Meet now supports real-time AI-powered translation, making video calls between different languages smoother.
The AI translates speech almost instantly while attempting to mimic the speaker’s tone and style.
Initially, this feature supports English and Spanish, with plans to add more languages.
It is currently available in beta for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, promising to break down language barriers during virtual meetings.
Gmail Introduces AI-Powered Smart Replies That Mimic Your Voice
Google is enhancing Gmail with AI-driven Smart Replies that learn your writing style to suggest responses that sound authentically yours.
By analysing your past emails, greetings, tone, and favourite phrases, Gemini can craft personalised replies.
With user permission, it can also access relevant information from your Gmail and Google Drive, such as travel plans, to provide contextually accurate responses.
