Could Apple’s New AI Features Change How You Travel, Pay And Stay Connected?

Apple Inc has announced new AI-powered features across its services ecosystem as part of its 2027 software updates, aiming to make digital experiences more intelligent and convenient.

The updates will enhance platforms including Maps, Wallet, Find My, Podcasts, iCloud and Fitness+, improving integration across devices and services.

Apple Maps will introduce an upgraded Flyover experience using AI and aerial imagery to deliver more detailed city views.

The feature will allow users to explore destinations virtually while planning trips or discovering new places.

The company will also introduce Local Lists in Maps for users in the United States, offering curated recommendations based on local trends.

These lists will highlight restaurants and attractions while ensuring user privacy, as recommendations are not linked to individual accounts.

The Find My service will introduce new location-sharing controls, allowing users to share their location for specific time periods such as minutes, hours or days.

Users will also be able to pause sharing with selected contacts for greater flexibility during travel or events.

Apple will also integrate the Find My features into a single unified application on Apple Watch, replacing separate apps for devices, items and people.

The redesigned app will include a map-based interface along with tools such as sound alerts, directions and Precision Finding for compatible devices.

Apple Wallet will receive an upgrade featuring AI-powered bill splitting through Apple Cash.

Using Apple Intelligence, users will be able to scan or upload receipts, automatically calculate shared expenses, and divide costs among friends, including taxes and tips.

The company said the new features reflect its broader focus on using artificial intelligence to simplify daily tasks and enhance user experience across its ecosystem.
