realme is betting big on a future where smartphones, earbuds, tablets and smart devices work together as one seamless ecosystem.
As Indian consumers increasingly juggle multiple connected devices for work, entertainment, fitness and everyday communication, the brand is sharpening its AIoT strategy in India with a stronger focus on intelligent interaction and effortless connectivity.
According to an IDC report, India’s wearable device market recorded 119 million shipments in 2024, with TWS earbuds contributing 70.9 per cent of the earwear segment.
Industry analysts say users are now prioritising ecosystem integration and premium features over simply owning more devices.
Counterpoint Research noted that the premium smartwatch segment priced above Rs 15,000 grew 16 per cent year-on-year. The growth reflects rising demand for advanced features such as Adaptive ANC, Hi-Res audio, health monitoring and extended battery life.
Keeping these trends in mind, realme will likely launch the realme Buds Air8 Pro and realme Watch S5 on May 22, 2026.
The Buds Air8 Pro feature 55dB Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation that automatically adjusts according to surrounding noise levels. The earbuds also include a Triple-Mic AI Calling system for improved voice clarity during calls in noisy environments.
For entertainment and gaming users, the earbuds offer an 11mm + 6mm dual-driver setup, LHDC 5.0 Hi-Res Wireless Audio support and a 20Hz–40kHz frequency response range. Additional features include Transparency Mode, fast charging support and up to 50 hours of playback.
Complementing the earbuds is the realme Watch S5, which focuses on battery efficiency, health tracking and independent outdoor activity support.
The smartwatch features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display, a 460mAh battery with up to 20 days of usage and Independent GPS support across five satellite systems. It also includes more than 110 sports modes.
The device supports heart rate and SpO2 monitoring, along with sleep and stress tracking. It also features Single Tap Health Measurement and 5ATM water resistance.
Both devices are manufactured in India. They form part of realme’s broader vision of creating a connected AIoT ecosystem tailored for Indian consumers.
