The SC has initiated suo moto cognizance in response to the tragic deaths of three UPSC aspirants in Delhi’s Old Rajendra Nagar on 27 July.

On Wednesday, the Delhi High Court summoned the MCD Commissioner, DCP, and IO regarding the deaths of three UPSC aspirants in Old Rajendra Nagar on 27 July.

The PIL claims that widespread corruption in public departments has caused numerous deaths over the years. It highlights that many commercial buildings in Delhi operate illegally, including those in residential areas, without proper approvals

Following a tragic incident that killed three UPSC aspirants, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has taken action against illegal coaching centres in Old Rajinder Nagar.

Two female UPSC aspirants tragically lost their lives and several others were trapped for hours after water inundated the basement.
