Rape case

The 16-year-old was allegedly raped by five men while she was returning from her tuition class in Majbat.

The student filed a complaint against the school's actions and stated that the authorities accused her of 'spoiling the atmosphere' if she appeared for the exams.

Advocate Rituparna Guha has stated that Additional Sessions Special Judge Mamta Bhadani has issued an order, convicting the accused under the POCSO Act and Section 376-AB of the Indian Penal Code.

The court reiterated that rape charges cannot be dropped based on a settlement unless extraordinary circumstances indicate misuse of legal process or miscarriage of justice.

The incident took place on Sunday, according to the police. As the victim's health started to decline, her coworkers decided to admit her to Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital

Due to the seriousness of the offenses and the assertion that it caused the children life-long suffering, the prosecution had pressed for a harsh punishment.
