PM Modi arrived in the Indo-Pacific country on the second leg of his three-country visit. Upon PM Modi's arrival, the Indian national anthem was played and the two prime ministers stood still in respect. PM Modi was also accorded a guard of honour on his arrival.

"This great mass contact campaign is telling that the BJP's contact with the poor has been broken," the SP chief said.

Modi also held a "wonderful meeting" with President Surangel S Whipps, Jr of the Republic of Palau on the sidelines of the FIPIC Summit. Whipps presented Modi with an Ebakl, one of the most important tools for the people of Palau.

After the Summit, PM Modi met Palau's President Surangel Whipps Jr, Premier of Niue Dalton Emani Makamau Tagelagi, Fiji PM Sitiveni Rabuka, Marshall Islands minister kitlang kabua, Secretary General of the PIF Henry Puna, and many other Pacific-Indo Countries on the sidelines of FIPIC Summit.

India is preparing to send a military contingent including fighter aircraft to take part in the French National Day parade.

It is PM Modi and his British counterpart Rishi Sunak's second in-person meeting since the G20 Summit in Indonesia last November.
