More than 61,000 ideas were submitted online and 1.43 lakh listener audio recordings were received in the first fifteen addresses of the Mann ki Baat broadcast. Some carefully chosen calls are included in the broadcast each month.

"We also talk about pay disparity but in the TV industry today, women are paid much higher than their male counterparts, which is a great thing because of the kind of work they do and I think in our TV industry, women rule."

It also found that the programme is heard more on television channels followed by mobile phones, with radio listeners accounting for 17.6 per cent of the total listenership.
