In response to the ongoing impasse in Parliament over the Manipur violence problem, Congressman Gaurav Gogoi moved the notice of the no-confidence resolution to the Lok Sabha Secretary General's office.

Following this incident and the subsequent skirmishes, a number of Bollywood A-listers, including Sonu Sood, Kiara Advani, Renuka Shahane, and Akshay Kumar, have denounced the violence that took place in the state.

The Monsoon Session Of Parliament will go on for 23 days which will comprise 17 sittings. It is to end on the 11th of August. Speaker Om Birla asked MPs to engage in meaningful conversation in the Lok Sabha.

Opposition parties have accused the government of failing to contain the violence.
