Upon conclusion of his Namibia visit, External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar highlighted that Project Cheetah has emerged as a "new symbol of friendship between India and Namibia."

The Union minister will also meet a family who was affected by the 1984 anti-Sikh riots at Tilak Vihar, the statement continued, accompanied by West Delhi MP Parvesh Verma.

“As we became independent and continued to support South Africa in its struggle against apartheid, the symbolism of Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi took very deep root,” he said.

“Brics is no longer an ‘alternative’, it is an established feature of the global landscape,” he tweeted

External affairs minister S Jaishankar said Brics must send out a strong message that the world is multipolar, is rebalancing and “that old ways cannot address new situations”

"Look at EU Council regulations, Russian crude is substantially transformed in the third country and not treated as Russian anymore. I would urge you to look at Council's Regulation 833/2014," said Jaishankar.

Jaishankar is on a three-day visit to Sweden to participate in the EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum (EIPMF).

Jaishankar further stated that the Indo-Pacific Ministerial in which he participated was the second such event.

During his three-day visit to Stockholm, the minister will address the EIPMF and also hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit.
