ED

Initially arrested on March 15 by the Enforcement Directorate from her residence in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, Kavitha has faced intensified scrutiny regarding her involvement in the alleged scheme.

AAP volunteers in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia gathered in front of Indian embassies and popular locations on Monday to protest Kejriwal's arrest.

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Kejriwal on March 21 in connection with the excise policy scam.

The ED had stated in its remand application that Kavitha "conspired with top leaders of AAP and gave them kickbacks to the tune of Rs 100 crore and in exchange, got undue favours in the Delhi Excise Policy formation and implementation," branding her one of the kingpins and major conspirators.

In response, the NIA has issued a statement refuting all allegations of ‘mala fide’ in its actions, clarifying that the attack was “unprovoked” and an attempt to obstruct the agency from carrying out its lawful duties.

ED is currently interrogating Bibhav Kumar, the personal assistant (PA) to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

A new FIR was filed based on a complaint made by Mack Star, alleging that the father-son team had fraudulently and illegally sold a number of office units in Mack Star's Kaledonia building, causing the HDIL subsidiary to suffer an unjustifiable loss of over Rs 300 crore.

Sanjay Singh reaffirmed AAP's claim: ED coerced Manguta and Raghav Reddy to testify against Arvind Kejriwal, suggesting a conspiracy.

Sanjay Singh's release provides some relief to the AAP, whose key leaders, including party convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and Satyendar Jain, are currently in judicial custody.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) highlighted a recurring pattern wherein initial statements made by accused individuals omit the names of party leaders.
