President Murmu reached the new Parliament in a traditional horse-drawn carriage. The same carriage took the President along with Chief Guest, French President Emmanuel Macron to Kartavya Path on Republic Day.

Dr. Bharati Praveen Pawar will be given the charge of Minister of State in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, in addition to his existing portfolio.

President Draupadi Murmu hosted a grand banquet for the G20 guests in the 'India Pavilion,' where sumptuous dishes made from local grains and Kashmiri Kahwa were served.

Murmu was born on this day in 1958 in Uparbeda village in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj.

Murmu landed in Suriname for a three-day state visit on Sunday
