Delhi’s air quality plunged to 385 on Friday, placing the city firmly in the 'very poor' category as stagnant winds and a deepening cold wave contributed to rising pollution levels.

Delhi & the NCR continue to choke under a thick layer of pollution, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) staying in the ‘very poor’ category.

Delhi-NCR recorded alarming pollution levels on Sunday, with the average AQI rising to 380. Several pockets entered the ‘severe’ category.

The AQI in Delhi-NCR remained in the ‘very poor’ to ‘severe’ range on Monday morning as dense smog persisted across the national capital.

On Monday, the air quality in the Delhi-NCR region continues to deteriorate, shrouded in a thick layer of smog during the early hours.

The Supreme Court summoned the Chief Secretaries of Punjab and Haryana, reprimanding them for failing to act against stubble burning.

The SC urged the CAQM to intensify its efforts in addressing the persistent issue of air pollution in Delhi and its surrounding areas.
