Following the submission of the plea, the Delhi High Court issued notices to Patanjali Ayurved, Baba Ramdev, the Central government, and Patanjali's Divya Pharmacy, which manufactures the product.

The SC on Tuesday dismissed contempt charges against Baba Ramdev and Patanjali's MD, Acharya Balkrishna, over allegedly misleading ads.

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court reserved its verdict in the contempt of court case filed against Patanjali Ayurved

In the Patanjali advertising case, the SC has granted Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna an exemption from appearing in the next hearing.

The court has scheduled further hearings for April 30 as it continues to address a petition filed by the Indian Medical Association in 2022, alleging Patanjali's dissemination of disinformation regarding Covid vaccination and modern medical practices.

Speaking on behalf of the Patanjali founders, Senior Advocate Mukul Rohatgi told the court that mistakes are a part of life.

The order was issued on a petition filed by IMA, which approached the court against Patanjali, alleging it was making false and misleading claims of curing diseases and discrediting modern medicine.

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev tendered an apology to the SC for his failure to adhere to its directives regarding misleading ads.

Baba Ramdev not only defied Supreme Court's order, but also held an open press conference the very next day indirectly questioning the order and made bold claims.

Ramdev asserted that Ayurveda and yoga can treat serious illnesses.
