Supreme Court has asked EC to file a response within two weeks regarding a petition that demands ban on criminals from contesting elections.

The Central Government has filed an affidavit with the Supreme Court opposing a petition that calls for a lifetime ban on individuals with criminal backgrounds.

The petition states that travelling abroad through foreign travel companies can steal the personal information of Indian citizens.
