Bhuvneshwar, 33, last competed for India in a T20I in New Zealand in November of last year. He was then benched for the domestic series against the Black Caps and Sri Lanka. Even though Bhuvneshwar participated in all 14 games for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL, India Fast did not make the team for the three ODIs against Australia and has not been seen since.

He continues to be referred to as an “Indian cricketer.”
