Under-19 T-20 Women’s WC: India won by 122 runs against UAE  ahead the 9th Match of Under-19 T-20 Women’s  world cup on 16th January at the Willowmoore Park. The Indian Under-19 T-20 women’s WC team played its second Group D match of the session.

In a tweet, ICC (International Cricket Council) wrote, “India’s net run rate gets a boost with a huge win over UAE 🔥.”

The UAE, who had stunned Scotland by six wickets in their tournament opener, suffered a 122-run defeat to India in their Group D fixture at Willowmoore Park, Benoni.

Highlights Of The Game

Taking notes from the toss, UAE captain Theertha Satish won the toss and asked India to bat first, Indian opener Shafali Verma and Shweta Sehrawat hammered a record parternership of 111 runs for first wicket in Women’s T20 world cup 2023.

Captain Shafali verma scored 78 runs with 12 fours and 6  sixes. Player Shweta has played along side the captain stayed not out on 74 with 10 fours.

After the fall of first wicket, Richa Gosh joined the party and put UAE on backfoot by scoring a brisk 49 runs on just 29 balls by hitting 5 fours and 2 sixes, she got caught behind while trying to play a scoop over wicket keepers head.

Ahead the end of 20 overs, India won against the UAE women’s squad and became the first team to cross 200+ in an inning in Women’s T20 World Cup 2023. India scored 219 for 3 at the end of 20 overs.
