Young Tilak Varma, who made his international debut in the opening game of the T20I series last week, is the top run-scorer for India thus far with 139 runs in 3 matches. On Thursdays, Yuzvendra Chahal, Suryakumar Yadav, and their wives, Dhanashree Verma and Devisha Shetty, joined Tilak Varma on the streets of Miami.

The Indian cricket team’s tour to the United States before heading to the West Indies now includes Dhanashree Verma and Devisha Shetty. With Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli taking a sabbatical in preparation for the Asia Cup 2023 later this month, Hardik Pandya is leading the Indian team in the five-match India series.

Tilak Varma already holds the second-highest run total among Indians, trailing only Deepak Hooda’s 172 runs in three games.

Many records can be broken by Tilak Verma

Tilak Varma has a tremendous opportunity to break the enormous record held by former Indian captain Virat Kohli in a five-match T20I series when the final two games of the T20I series take place this weekend in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in the United States. With 231 runs and three fifty-plus scores in a series against England in 2020–21, Kohli holds the record for the most runs scored by an Indian batsman in a five-match T20I series.
