South Delhi Superstarz secured the Adani Delhi Premier League T20 2026 championship by overcoming Central Delhi Kings with a seven-wicket victory in the title clash.
Central Delhi had posted 182/8 after batting first, setting South Delhi a target of 183 for the trophy.
The Superstarz responded confidently and crossed the finishing line at 186/3 in 18.2 overs, leaving 10 balls unused.
Ankit provided the main impetus during the chase as he remained unbeaten on 62 from 34 deliveries.
Anmol complemented his teammate brilliantly and finished the innings unbeaten on 62 from 41 balls.
The two batters maintained the required scoring rate and kept the chase firmly under South Delhi’s control. Their composed partnership removed much of the pressure from the chasing side and brought the Superstarz within touching distance of victory.
Central Delhi Kings gave themselves a competitive total after accumulating 182/8 during their 20-over innings.
Samarth emerged as their leading scorer, striking 51 from only 27 deliveries.
Jonty added valuable runs with a 36-ball knock of 19 runs, while Yugal contributed 32 from 29 balls.
Money then provided a late acceleration by smashing 18 runs from seven deliveries.
South Delhi’s bowlers restricted Central Delhi to a total that their powerful batting line-up could successfully overhaul.
Divansh delivered the standout bowling performance with figures of 3/17.
Vision claimed two wickets for 17 runs, while Pranshu and Anshuman picked up one wicket each.
The Superstarz’s batting depth ultimately proved decisive as Ankit and Anmol guided their team beyond the target without further setbacks.
South Delhi reached 186/3 in 18.2 overs and completed the final with 10 balls to spare.
The commanding seven-wicket result crowned South Delhi Superstarz as DPL 2026 champions and brought their campaign to a triumphant conclusion.
