Shafali Verma Moves To Fourth As Asian Games Performances Reshape T20I Rankings

India’s Shafali Verma has broken into the top four of the latest ICC Women’s T20I batting rankings after delivering a productive campaign at the Asian Games.

The opener strengthened her ranking position after producing an unbeaten 100 against Bangladesh in the semifinal at Nisshin, which gave her a maiden T20I century.

Before that performance, Shafali remained unbeaten on 40 against Japan as India secured their place in the final.

Pakistan also recorded significant movement in the batting standings, with Shawaal Zulfiqar advancing 16 places to 29th.

Zulfiqar achieved a career-best rating of 558 after scoring 25 against Indonesia in the quarterfinal before adding 54 against Sri Lanka in the semifinal.

Ayesha Zafar made an even bigger leap, moving 31 positions to 40th after producing a 71-run knock against Sri Lanka.

Her rating of 489 represents a career-best mark, while her all-rounder ranking also improved by nine places to 30th.

Sree Charani continued to lead the T20I bowling rankings, retaining first place with 799 rating points.

Deepti Sharma remained second, trailing her Indian teammate by 70 points.

Kranti Gaud climbed 15 places to 57th, while Nandani Sharma advanced 22 positions to 72nd, with both recording career-best ratings.

South Africa’s 5-0 series victory over Zimbabwe produced several notable ranking gains.

The latest ICC rankings account for performances completed through Monday, with the Asian Games and South Africa-Zimbabwe series contributing to the latest changes.
