“I’ve worked with KKR for six years. I had my chances at first, but I didn’t take advantage of them. During my early years with the club, I have learned a lot. At the KKR school in Mumbai, Abhishek Nayar sir and I put a lot of effort into improving my batting. All of your effort is beginning to pay off, remarked Rinku.

“After consistently losing, no other club would have kept me, but the KKR team management and Abhishek sir saw something in me that even I couldn’t. I practised new shots and batted for five to six hours every day in the nets. I believe I developed into an all-around batsman during those three years. I performed well in the IPL, received praise, and now I’ve been rewarded with a call-up to India,” he continued.
