Sachin Wishes Stuart Broad on his farewell
After Stuart Broad said goodbye to Test cricket in the high-profile Ashes series finale on Monday, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar raised his hat in appreciation. Ben Stokes and company won the fifth Test of the bilateral series at The Oval thanks to the efforts of Broad, who wrote his own perfect conclusion in his final international match for the Three Lions by taking the final two Australian wickets.

After Stuart engineered England’s stunning victory in his last match, great batsman Tendulkar posted a special tribute for the retiring fast bowler on Twitter. “A fantastic career comes to an end. @StuartBroad8, the records of cricket will always remember your tireless bowling and unrelenting dedication. a suitable way to end your career. Enjoy the following innings,” Tendulkar tweeted. After England rallied from a deficit to tie the Ashes series at 2-2 at The Oval, The Master Blaster also left a remarkable message for Stokes’ team on his website.

Player of the match Chris Woakes
For his outstanding bowling, pacer Chris Woakes, who claimed four wickets in the second innings, was named Player of the Match. In the recently finished Ashes, England’s Woakes and seasoned bowler Mitchell Starc was awarded Player of the Series. Broad finished the fifth Test, his final match in international cricket, with a score of 2–62.

“It was fantastic in every way. I think Chris Woakes and Moeen Ali absolutely set the tone. When we finally had a couple, we really began to believe. The crowd was astounding. We simply hopped on the back of that because it was so loud, Broad told Sky Sports. “It is incredibly special to be able to help the team by taking two wickets. The England pacer continued, “When you decide to retire, you wonder what your last ball will be, so to take a wicket and win an Ashes test match is quite nice.
