Stopping by at a unit in Charsoo along the Srinagar-Jammu highway, Tendulkar took the time to engage with the workers, much to their surprise and joy.

Parray recounted how Tendulkar meticulously inspected the quality of the bats crafted from Kashmir willow. “He tested a few bats and expressed his satisfaction with the craftsmanship. Tendulkar mentioned that he had come to compare the Kashmir willow bats with those fashioned from English willow.”
