Rohit Sharma
The captain of the Indian cricket team, Rohit Sharma, has stated unequivocally that the squad’s disappointment in the 2023 Cricket World Cup will not be eased by victory in the Test series against South Africa. But Rohit, in his characteristically funny manner, pointed out that they have worked hard over the last few months and should be the winners. When asked how he felt about the World Cup final loss to Australia, Rohit responded that all of the players would be eager to recover ahead of the first Test match between South Africa and India, which gets underway in Centurion on December 26.
“It would be huge if we could win a Test series here, as we have never done in South Africa. I’m not sure if it will be able to ease the hurt of losing the World Cup. It will be beneficial if we succeed in achieving it. During the press conference, Rohit stated, “Itna Mehnat Kiya hai to kuch to chahiye humko.”

For the Indian cricket team, South Africa is still something of a “final frontier” because they have never prevailed in a Test series played on Proteas venues. This will put more strain on Rohit Sharma and company.
Additionally, Rohit acknowledged that players must move on because there is so much cricket going on these days. “You expect to go an inch farther the way we played. Regretfully, we were unable to succeed. The difficult part was that. You witnessed our method for completing the ten games.”
“We lost the final because we performed poorly in a few key areas. It is challenging, but you must find the strength since life is full of opportunities and cricket matches. You have to go on, even though it took me some time to come out,” he remarked.
“We got a lot of encouragement from the outside world and that motivated me personally to get up,” Rohit said.
